I recently repaired this Sessions Regulator No. 5 wall clock. The mahogany-finished case is 50 inches tall and 19 1/2 inches wide. The dial is paper, and the minute hand is 5 7/16 inches long. The clock is listed in the Sessions 1915 catalog, and was also available in oak. The clock has a second hand.
The clock keeps time only (no striking) and is driven by two weights. The escapement is a deadbeat with strip verge and club-tooth escape wheel. The design of this movement goes back to the 1870s and the predecessor company Welch, Spring and Company.
Job 5781. Polish pivots, 8 bushings.
