Ingraham Oak Kitchen Clock

Here is a late-model oak kitchen clock, made December 1934 (12 34 date code on the movement). The oak kitchen clock became popular around 1900 (the walnut-cased models were popular earlier, beginning about the 1880s). Many of the walnut cased clocks have carving, but the designs were pressed into the oak cases.

This clock is 21 5/8 inches tall and 14 3/4 inches wide. The paper dial has a 4 7/8 inch minute track (center to center), and outside measurement from diamond to diamond is 5 1/32 inches. The minute hand is 2 7/16 inches long.

Repair job 6106. I polished the pivots and installed 14 bushings. A previous repairer installed bronze bushings that were too short.

The mainspring sizes are as follows:

Time: 3/4 x 0.0173 inch

Strike: 3/4 x 0.0174 inch

  1. Hi there
we found this clock this weekend @ a rummage sale. I was wondering If you have a model number for this one, so I can do a little more investing about it. The one we found is in fair condition, the top piece is broke off but we have the piece. It does semi-work ( for the lack of a better description) We no nothing about clocks, but the price was right. I just didn’t know if it was worth it to have it checked out and repaired if possible. the number and info on the inside says e.ingraHam Co. pat Sept.14, 1897 and the number is 11-01. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
    thank you
    Dawn
