Schatz Standard 400 Day Clock with No Name Roman Numeral Dial

This Schatz (or Jahresuhrenfabrik) standard 400 clock was made about 1949, before they started putting the name Schatz on the dial. This clock has the Roman numeral dial which is not nearly as common as the standard dial with Arabic numerals.

I overhauled the movement (the suspension spring was in good condition so it wasn’t replaced) and polished and lacquered the base and pillars.

The movement is categorized as Horolovar back plate no. 1278. It has an anchor with adjustable pallets instead of the usual solid-body anchor.
