A Waltham Mantel Clock with Two Sevens on the Dial!

August 2, 2008 . by Admin

Here are photos of a Waltham mantel clock, probably from the 1920′s. The size is

  • Height: 6 1/2 inches
  • Width of base: 12 inches
  • Depth of base: 4 inches

The unusual dial has two numeral sevens! In addition to the seven in its correct location, there is a seven where the six should be! The owner is curious about the dial.

I could not find this clock in any of my catalogs. If anyone has a picture of this clock model, does it have the same mistake in the dial? Does anybody have an explanation for this dial?
