Schatz Standard 400 Day Clock with Early Logo on Dial

This Schatz standard 400 day clock has the early form of the Schatz logo (written horizontally instead of inclining upward). The clock is incomplete and I am illustrating it here for its historical interest.

The movement is categorized as Horolovar back plate no. 1279. It was made around 1950. The dial is secured with pins, and it has the old style motion work (with the minute wheel held by a cock). Another feature it has (that I had seen before a few times and mistakenly thought was not original) is that the suspension bracket is held by screws and nuts (standard examples don’t have nuts).
