Here’s a great old one-day OG clock that I repaired. The label says:
Henry C. Smith’s
Plymouth, Conn.
The dial is the earlier style with minute dots instead of lines, used around the late 1840s or the 1850s.

The location of the “6” and its dot is off by 1 minute!
The movement is type 7.1 in Snowden Taylor’s one Jerome-type 30 hour movement chart.
The case is 25 5/8 inches tall, 15 inches wide and 4 15/16 inches deep. The dial’s minute track is 7 1/2 inches from center to center of the dots.
Repair job 6548. I polished the pivots and installed 9 bushings. The verge was a poor replacement, so I installed a good new one. I removed the solder from the front plate.
The glass was intact but broken in two pieces. I replaced the missing putty to secure the glass, and ran superglue into the crack to help hold it together.
