Antique Ansonia Clocks in My Shop

I finished repairing several antique clocks, set the finished clocks on my bench, and realized there were three Ansonia clocks in a row, and this called for some pictures!

First is the “Don Caesar” statue clock with visible escapement. Next is a slate and stone case with round movement having visible escapement. Finally is a “Beaver” 8-day walnut kitchen or shelf clock, ca. 1894. The door of this clock is not shown, as my customer shipped his clock from Alaska to me in Indiana, and didn’t want to risk the glass getting broken.

In the middle background is a Gilbert “Mantel Weight” clock ca. 1885. It has the same movement as a one-day OG. Its center finial isn’t shown in the picture.

I hope to blog about these clocks as I find time.
