The back plate of the movement. The circle says “Aug. Schatz & Sohne Germany” around the circle, and KU 50 in the center.

I live in Fort Wayne, IN
Would love to see your clocks some time.
I have the same clock. The string when pulled should make the cuckoo go off.
Pull the string to demonstrate the cuckoo.
I recently cleaned up and oiled a Schatz cuckoo clock movement marked “50” I seem to have got it working after hanging on my Mother in Law’s wall since 1955. She passed on and it hasn’t worked for 30 plus years. I was wondering what the black lever does, that has the little metal loop hole on it. On this clock there is a string attached that passes through the bottom of the case. Any help would be appreciated.
Schatz cuckoo clock movement are some what confusing i understand the detent and rack share the same arbor but im not sure what to adjust to hold the door open during the chime sequence
Hey bill which lever do you adjust under the door lever
I repaired it for a customer, so it is not for sale.
Is this clock movement for sale, if it is, how much? thanks
