Sessions Floor Standing Mission Clock

Here’s a really neat clock that I repaired. It is a mission style floor standing clock in an oak case. The dial is oak with brass numerals. The clock was made by Sessions Clock Company, Forestville, Connecticut and its model name is Holland. The clock is 71 1/2 inches tall and 18 1/8 inches wide. The dial’s minute track is 11 5/16 inch diameter.

Repair job 7484. The movement is larger than standard and is based on the movement that Welch, Spring and Company used in their “Verdi” drop octagon wall clock. It has a strip deadbeat verge (see first picture above) and clubfoot escape wheel (second picture).

I polished the pivots and installed 14 bushings.
