Schatz Standard 400 Day Clock that was Cleaned Without Disassembly

I repaired this Schatz Standard 400 day clock recently. The movement was rusty because someone had dunked the complete movement (without disassembly) in water-based cleaning fluid. The pictures below show the rusty mainspring and gears. This movement was so far gone that I found an identical old movement to replace it with.

Repair job 8668. This clock was made around 1950 and has no movement date (movement dating on these Schatz clocks started in 1952). I polished the pivots and replaced the suspension spring (0.004 inch thick).
