Here is a Gilbert tambour mantel clock with a square dial! This sure gives the clock an unusual appearance.
The movement production date is 1925. It has a mahogany case 19 9/16 inches long and 9 15/16 inches tall. The silvered metal dial has printed numerals. It has a standard Gilbert 8 day time and strike movement, and strikes bim-bam on two rods. The minute hand is 2 19/32 inches long from center to tip. The dial’s minute track outside diameter is 5 1/4 inches from side to side.
Repair job 6613. I polished the pivots, installed 14 bushings and installed a new suspension rod.
