This Schatz standard size 400 day clock is dated 11 52 (November 1952) on the back of the movement. The case, dial, pendulum and pillars are a beautiful maroon color, with brass trim. The dial’s center is a scene of a seated couple, the man playing a flute and the woman holding a fan, and another man playing a lute.
The most common Schatz 400 day clocks are brass with enamel dial, but these painted clocks are seen every now and then.
Repair job 8733. I polished the pivots, replaced the missing top block, fork and bottom block, and installed a 0.004″ suspension spring.
