This little electric clock (only 9 5/8 inches wide by 7 3/17 inches tall) in a wood case strikes the hour and half-hour. It was made by Seth Thomas in Thomaston, Connecticut, USA in January 1952 (it has date code 52-01 on the movement).

Repair job 7168. In this movement, the electric motor runs the hands, and winds a mainspring that operates the striking. The mainspring is in a little barrel and is 0.0075″ thick. I polished the pivots and installed 14 bushings. I disassembled the motor and replaced the front bushing. I lubricated the motor with Molykote Light grease. Movement model number A300-036.
